AVG 7.0 Pro Edition Review Continued

Guide Rating - rating

Setup - 4.5/5

An update of this review covering the new features of AVG 7.5 can be found here.

The setup of AVG is simple. The user is taken through the standard process of determining where to install and update. You are also given the opportunity to create a Rescue Disk in the case your system becomes inoperable due to a malicious file. You also determine your email client and AVG will configure itself for the client you desire. The setup is quick and painless.

Support - 4/5

AVG has a great support page to address many of the “gotchas” people may run into. The FAQs are actually relevant and very helpful. Support inquiries are for registered users only, so ensure to register the product once it is installed. All support is via email, so you will not get the friendly voice on a telephone to help you through any problems. The emails I sent them were responded to within 24-28 hours. Acceptable.

Conclusion

AVG is a great product. Lean, quick and simplistic to configure, yet strong enough for the task at hand. One other feature I neglected to add was the price. Online you can purchase a two year license for two computers for about $50. I liked the idea of purchasing a two year license. One less thing to worry about.

Final review: 4.5 out of 5 stars!
