Reliability

The last category we will look at with SecureVue is that of reliability. With all of this data and knowledge at our fingertips, you may expect things to slip through the cracks. This is not the case. One of the strengths of SecureVue is the real-time analysis of all of those nodes. Ideally when something contravenes one of your policies you will want to know about it. With the built in Audit Centre, a company can use predefined compliance goals such as SOX and HIPAA (and many more) to determine how they rate under each of these regulations.

To put this to the test, we setup our policies to let us know when unauthorised devices were added to the network. We added a wireless router to the network of about 200 nodes to see what would happen. We were immediately alerted and was able to pinpoint what segment of the network the device had been added. Impressive.

Conclusion

Anomaly detection and compliance tools are a necessary component to many organizations today. SecureVue is a great addition to any company with security and compliance issues. The ease of setup, real time analysis and plethora of information available makes this product truly useful. I give it 4.5 / 5 stars.
