CSO

By William Deutsch, About.com

Definition: CSO is an acronym for “Chief Security Officer.” The CSO is responsible for the protection of a company’s people and resources. This is accomplished by developing, administering and enforcing security policies.

At times, CSO may refer to the individual responsible for physical security, while the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) is responsible for logical and information security.
