ISA Server 2006

Monday July 9, 2007

I have written a bit about the open source IPCop firewall, which I really like. Another firewall I also use is Microsoft’s ISA Server 2006. Yes I know it is extreme, open source at one end and Microsoft at the other but I always say use the best tool for the job. Actually in my day job I use a range of computer technologies ranging from many open source software to various operating systems like Linux and Windows.

Back to ISA 2006 Server, it is a great firewall, especially if you are a Microsoft shop. It is good firewall to publish Exchange, SharePoint and IIS to the Internet.

Remember to use the best tool for the job and if you are a Microsoft shop take a look at ISA Server 2006.
