Tien Truong Nguyen was slapped with a 12 year prison sentenced for stealing personal banking information.
Nguyen used Spear Phishing to swipe information from more than 38,000 victims.Judge Morrison Englund called Nguyen a "one man wrecking crew when it comes to identity theft." He was able to direct his victims to bogus web sites that collected user names and passwords. Nguyen and his accomplices used the stolen information to purchase over $200,00 worth of merchandise.
