Infected Picture Frames

Tuesday February 5, 2008

That cool digital picture frame that you got the boss for Christmas this year might be infected with a computer virus. SecurityFocus reports that certain models (like NS-DPF10A) from Best Buy might contain a computer virus.

I can see all the AV vendors getting excited about selling AV for picture frames.

So how good is the Q&A if you ship memory cards in a digital picture frame with viruses? Do you use the same computers for work and play? Maybe a midnight round of Doom 3 and manufacturing mix? All kidding aside, that is a good example (I bet) why there needs to be strict work/play separation for computerdom.
